• A REMNANT INTERVIEW: Archbishop Viganò on COVID-19 and the Hand of God
Remnant Editor's Introduction: During this seemingly apocalyptic moment, we must be ever mindful of the fact that, despite the great apostasy that's been unfolding in the Church for decades, God Himself has not abandoned us. Good priests all over the world are answering the call of the disenfranchised faithful, to help them maintain the lumen Christi in the midst of the present darkness that seems to be enveloping the whole world. In this moment of desolation, many of them are beginning to understand the warp and woof of the Modernist revolution that has decimated the Catholic Church, nearly destroyed the venerable Roman Rite and now finally left us all spiritually abandoned outside of locked churches. - March 29, 2020

• Fr. Z's Blog: Of bells and virus bell curves. Wherein Fr. Z rants.
You would be surprised at how long and complex the rite is for the consecration of a bell. They are “baptized”, as it were, by a bishop. They are washed with holy water, anointed with the Oil of the Sick and Sacred Chrism, filled with smoke from burning thyme (or really thymiama, the recipe for which – equal parts of galbanum, stacte, frankincense and onycha) is, given by God to Moses, is a little hard to make now… but that’s another story), frankincense and myrrh, and then solemnly given a name. - March 24, 2020

• In a crisis, our odd priorities show a lack of faith
When a crisis strikes, we reveal what is important to us—as individuals and as a society. Awash in the flood of information and misinformation about the current epidemic, we are all developing opinions, which may or may not prove to be accurate. What we actually do—the actions we take, far more than the statements we make—show where our hearts lie. - March 18, 2020

• On the Coronavirus and public Masses
It is axiomatic for journalism, talk radio shows, daytime TV, and countless other outlets for news and commentary that to be successful you must ride the big stories. The reason is obvious: Because that’s what those who consume your media are doing—yes, even when it becomes overwhelmingly boring. Therefore, our news coverage has been full of the Coronavirus, and my twice-weekly Insights messages have also highlighted that annoying subject. - March 17, 2020

• Fr. Z's Blog: ASK FATHER: If the diocese cancelled Mass, but Father says Mass anyway, can we attend? Can government forbid it?
From a reader…
QUAERITUR:
Our Gov. In NC has banned gatherings of 100, church and schools alike (but not restaurants, malls, etc). One is subject to Misdemeanor II charges. Our holy priest told a parishioner that he will say mass at 8 am and not ask anyone to leave should they come. Although our Bishop\ has cancelled and given dispensation, is it considered going against magisterium by the priest and or faithful to attend in this scenario? What about separation of church and state? - March 15, 2020

• Dei Verbum and the Collapse of Moral Theology
In a previous article, we discussed how the error of Limited Inerrancy was condemned by multiple popes as well as the original document on Revelation from Vatican II. Because Dei Verbum was vague on this point, it allowed liberal heretics to place themselves as authorities over the Word of God to pass judgement on its “errors” while pushing their feminist, Marxist, or other erroneous interpretations. In this article, we will discuss another related issue that the document helped to unleash: the collapse of moral theology. - March 3, 2020

• Our real pandemic is the loss of Christian identity
Antonio Spadaro SJ is quite the card. At the very beginning of 2017, he tweeted: “Theology is not Mathematics. 2 + 2 in Theology can make 5. Because it has to do with God and real life of people….” Then a month later, it was Spadaro who raised questions about St. John Paul II’s definitive restriction of ordination to males, where the Jesuit clearly believed that 2 + 2 should not equal 4. Last September it was Spadaro again who tweeted that journalists can no longer “keep quiet about the fact that there is a campaign of disinformation against Pope Francis which links American and Russian interests.” - March 3, 2020
