The Mystery of Parenthood's mission is to empower and encourage parents to accept the joys, struggles, and duties of day-to-day family life. Trey and Stephanie believe that parenting through the lens of the Faith moves mothers and fathers to more fully, consciously, and actively participate in God's plan for creation. Helping Catholic parents to understand that their vocation draws spiritual power from the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is especially critical amidst a culture of relativism, family breakdown, and the redefinition of marriage in law. The show hopes to be an on-going dialogue between parents, the hosts and invited on-air guests who will be experts in the fields of parenting, Church teaching, and culture.
Trey Cashion holds his Masters in Theological Studies from the University of Dallas's Institute for Religious and Pastoral Studies where he studied under the likes of Father Mitch Pacwa, Marcellino D'Ambrosio, and Douglas Bushman. Stephanie Cashion holds her Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston. The two of them have been married for over 20 years and have 6 children ranging in age from 17 down to 11 (times 3). Their parental exclamation point, so to speak, came in the form of triplets. They see themselves as veterans of, not experts on, parenting. They are still learning, along with their listeners, to abundantly live the vocation of marriage and parenthood.
